Porsche tradition – emotion in motion
Hall 9
A preview of the new special show at the Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk starting in January 2026
When the past and future collide, the result is truly fascinating: at the Classic Expo, we will be showcasing highlights from our upcoming special show Porsche Tradition – Emotion in Motion for the first time.
Legendary classics such as the 356 Carrera (1956) and the 911 2.4 Targa (1972) stand side by side with modern icons such as the 992 S/T and the 992 Targa 4S Heritage. The 993 GT2 recalls the glory days of motorsport, while the GT3 R embodies the future of the racetrack. And where the 997 Sport Classic exudes tradition, the 992 Sport Classic continues this story in a contemporary form.
To mark the anniversary of the iconic “Pepita” interior fabric, RARE.SPHERE and Studio F. A. Porsche are presenting two different perspectives on 60 years of design tradition.
RARE.SPHERE is presenting a custom-designed 1966 Porsche 911 S, created in collaboration with Early 911S. The vehicle reinterprets classic design elements – inspired by the creative legacy of former Porsche design chiefs, compiled by co-founder Tobias Aichele.
At the same time, Studio F. A. Porsche pays tribute to the design history of “Pepita” in its own staging – reduced, precise, and formally clear, as is characteristic of the company's signature style.
Experience the bridge through time at the Classic Expo – and an exclusive preview of what awaits you at Traumwerk from January 2026.

75 years VW Bulli
Hall 10
The Volkswagen Bulli will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025 – a history full of versatility, iconic design, and an unmistakable sense of freedom. Since the first T1 was launched in 1950, the Bulli has constantly reinvented itself and inspired generations of mobility enthusiasts. With over 12.5 million vehicles produced, it is the longest-built and most successful commercial vehicle in Europe – and has long been much more than just a means of transport.
Our exhibition takes you on a journey through this eventful history. Numerous T1 models from the 1950s and 60s – including rare samba buses, flatbed trucks, a fire engine, and creative special conversions such as the hippie bus and the coffee truck – showcase the diversity of the first generation. The 1979 T2 ambulance and a T3 Joker impressively continue the development. A special highlight is the original 1995 T4 used by the gendarmerie, the only surviving example of its kind in Austria. The exhibition is rounded off by the latest models such as the ID. Buzz, the ID. Buzz GTX, the Multivan eHybrid 4MOTION, and the e-Caravelle Style, which impressively demonstrate how the Bulli is driving into the future in the age of electric mobility.

50 years Jaguar XJS
Hall 2
presented by Jaguar Daimler Owners Sports & Touring Car Club
The Jaguar XJ-S (XJS from 1991) was a Gran Turismo from Jaguar and was built around 115,000 times between 1975 and 1996 – the brand's most successful sports model. Developed in three series (1975–1981, 1981–1991, 1991–1996), it succeeded the E-Type. Instead of a roadster, Jaguar now opted for a comfortable coupé with a V12 engine. Initially controversial, the distinctive design became a trademark and made the XJ-S a long-lasting classic.

50 years RREC German Section
Hall 2
presented by RREC - Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts Club German Section e.V.
In 1975, seven enthusiasts led by Friedhelm “Lucky” Luckenburg founded the club – today, it has grown into a vibrant community of Rolls-Royce and Bentley enthusiasts. Enthusiasm, tradition, and sustainability continue to shape our activities to this day: over 70% of all vehicles ever built by both brands are still on the road. Vehicles from all over Europe travel to meetings such as the one at Lake Chiemsee or the International Rally 2025 in Bensberg – some covering over 900 km under their own steam. Thanks to the support of Classic Expo, we are also able to present vehicles, information, and genuine hospitality in Salzburg in our anniversary year.
Sir William Lyons – a tribute
Hall 2
presented by Jaguar Daimler Club
Born in Blackpool in 1901, he founded the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922 together with William Walmsley, which would go on to achieve world fame after World War II as Jaguar Cars Ltd.
With the XK series, the legendary E-Type, and especially the Jaguar XJ sedan, Sir William created a line that beautifully blends elegance, performance, and British style. His signature is evident not only in the design, but also in the constant pursuit of perfection—whether in the engine, chassis, or bodywork.
To mark this anniversary year, the Jaguar Daimler Club is dedicating a special exhibition to Sir William Lyons at Classic Expo Salzburg: his life and work are brought to life with iconic vehicles that carry on his legacy, foremost among them the Jaguar XJ. In addition, our current issue of the member magazine Sovereign shines a spotlight on Sir William Lyons with special attention and reverence.
We welcome you to join us in taking a moment to reflect and be inspired by a legend of automotive history.
